DSP Concepts is a recognized leader in embedded audio development tools and services. Founded in 2003, DSP Concepts has offices in the US and India and supports customers worldwide. We provide solutions for high volume OEMs as well as smaller hi-fi audio suppliers. We are a registered Analog Devices Third Party Developer and specialize in solutions based on SHARC and Blackfin processors. Our technology can be found in automotive amplifiers, speaker processors, professional audio gear, broadcast equipment, and consumer products.
Paul Beckmann, PhD. Founder / CEO is responsible for DSP Concepts’ overall strategic direction and day-to-day business operations. During his 20 years of audio industry experience with a wide range of product and technology providers, Paul gained rare insights into the challenges faced by engineers. This led him to design tools to meet the particular needs of audio product developers.
Prior to founding DSP Concepts in 2003, Paul was VP of Engineering at Enuvis, Inc. which was eventually acquired by SiRF Technologies. While at Bose Corporation, Paul held positions in both research and product development. He developed the first Lifestyle digital home theater product and was awarded the “Best of What’s New” award from Popular Science for contributions made to the Videostage decoding algorithm. Paul holds numerous patents and has published papers related to audio and GPS processing. For many years, Paul has taught industry courses and has been a frequent conference speaker.
Paul received BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from MIT in 1989 and a PhD in Electrical Engineering, also from MIT, in 1992. He was a Rockwell Fellow while in graduate school.
Kishore Dasari. General Manager of the India design center leads and manages multiple engineering teams. Kishore is responsible for coordinating customer projects and deliverables and managing day-to-day engineering efforts. Kishore has years of experience with SHARC and Blackfin processors and has successfully implemented and integrated a wide variety of industry standard algorithms.
Prior to joining DSP Concepts, Kishore was a Project Lead with Analog Devices. There he worked on numerous audio projects including creating turn key demos and defining and developing customized embedded software for key customers. Kishore has hands on experience with MP3, WMA, AAC, HE-AAC, Dolby Digital, and DTS including HD decoders, and Dolby Prologic IIx, Dolby Headphone, Dolby Virtual Surround, and DTS/NeuralSurround.
Kishore holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in Hyderabad India
