8 channel audio I/O testing board

8 channel audio I/O testing board

I would like to have 8 channel audio audio files as I/O through AWE Designer, what kind of STM board or others can I use to process it?

Hello Eric,

8 is a high channel count for an ST board.  If it is just audio processing that you need to do, I would suggest just processing the files on your PC in Native mode.  You can change the input channel count in the input pin's properties (right-click > properties > build tab > numChannels).

Hello Kevin,

I have build a multichannel structure, but I need to demonstrate it on a hardware(soundbar).

Such that I need a board that have 8 channel I/O because we are going to testing Dolby Atmos 5.1.2 audio files.

8 channel may really a high count for a ST board. I would like to know if any other board recommended?

Hello Eric,

Unfortunately, Dolby Atmos will not fit on an ST board.  Could you please inform which SoC you plan to run Dolby Atmos on, to further help you?
