Hi DSPC Team,
I hope you are well. I have attached a zipped file with a video recording of the real time audio output and the awd file I used. The problem I am facing is that the audio is sometime distorted, and it occurs purely randomly. In the video you can see the first time it is all fine, but when I stop and run again, you can hear the distortion. It's reproducable on many output devices and machines running audio weaver that I have tested. It has started affecting my work and demos very heavily, could you help me find a solution or work around to this issue please? Thanks!
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
Do you see this while running in Native mode as well or just on your target hardware? What is the CPU % and Profiling data while you see this issue? What version of Audio Weaver Pro or Standard are you using? If you can provide more details about the hardware you are using as well we can try to determine the root cause.
Thank you,
Karishma

Hi Karishma,
It happens when running Native mode on my Win11 laptop, as well as run from pyawecore on a linux machine. For my laptop it's around 6% CPU. I am using 8.D.2.7 Standard.
Thanks
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
I was able to recreate your issue on my PC and we looking into it internally. I also tried increasing the cacheSize fo rthe WaveFileSource module to 8196 and it decreaed the frequency of the clipping / crackling ( though it is not resolved). Meanwhile to unblock you , do you have the Sound Design Module Pack? You can also use the Wave Players at 32 Block Size to replace the WaveFileSource module.
Thank you,
Karishma
