Hi!
I am a DIY hobbyist and still use sigmastudio to create guitar pedals.
But last day I bought a very inexpensive nux chorus pedal and found it to be a BF592 processor on a very nice PCB with all pereferical.
As far as I understand, AudioWeaver doesn't support blackfin processor right now?
But I've just started researching DSP Concepts and can't find anything about blackfin other than old videos.
Maybe this is a bad idea and better think about stm32f407 demo board?
Or were is old version with blackfin processor support? I needs to generate code to load into SPI flash selfboot.

Hi Vlad,
We previously have supported Blackfin processors, but do not have a publicly available Board Support Package. Please reach out to sales@dspconcepts.com if you would be interested in a Blackfin BSP. Otherwise, you could experiment using Audio Weaver with one of our freely available BSPs on our website on some of the ST series boards listed at the bottom of our downloads page here: https://w.dspconcepts.com/downloads

Not all chip manufacturers are interested in the low-volume and hobby markets. To a lot of companies, the $2k price point is peanuts when you've got a whole engineering team trying to develop a product that's going to sell millions of units (or sell for millions of dollars per unit). From Analog's perspective, the price needs to be that high because it comes with an assumption of a high level of tech support, up to and including direct phone time with their product engineers.

As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, the ADSP-BF592 is a valid and supported product by Analog Devices Inc. (ADI). However, please note that technology and product support can change over time. It is always recommended to consult the official Analog Devices website or contact their technical support for the most up-to-date information on the availability and support status of specific products like the ADSP-BF592. They will be able to provide you with the most accurate and current information regarding the product's support status.

Not every chip manufacturer prioritizes the low-volume and hobbyist markets. For many companies, the $2k price plnkgame.com point is insignificant when compared to the investment of an entire engineering team developing a product destined to sell millions of units or generate millions of dollars per unit. From Analog's viewpoint, the high price tag is justified by the expectation of extensive technical support, including direct communication with their product engineers.
