You could use a source module to do this. Either search "Source" in the Module Browser, or you can browse our different Source Modules by exploring the 'Sources' folder in the Module Browser. With little context, I would recommend trying the 'DC Source' Module.
If you right click on the DC Source Module and then click "View Properties", a properties window will pop up in the bottom of the Designer window. You can then set your step value to 0.5, and then your slider should move in increments of 0.5. I've attached a picture of what you should see.

Yes I considered DC Source earlier but with that I can't slide between 0 and 0.5 and after 0.5 ability to jump to 1.0 without values between?
