I'm working on building a project based on the Audio Weaver ST edition. I just wanted to confirm that the Audio Weaver ST edition can be used in a production environment?
We are currently building our BSP. We need to create our AWE config file and we will figure out how to pre-load it onto the boards. The config file should load and run at startup of the board. And then we need to have the USB Audio (from the PC) and HID control (from the PC) still working.
The information I've read about it just makes me want to ask to confirm. We don't need to upgrade to the Standard edition yet do we?
The only limitations on the ST edition are that ST Designer can only connect to ST MCU's, and the ASRC library included in the BSP has a built-in timeout feature that inject BEEPS into the audio stream after 10 or 20 minutes of use (depending on your project). We also don't deliver the Advanced module pack with the free ST BSPs, so the target won't be able to run with any Advanced modules in a layout.
If those limitations are OK, then you do not need to upgrade your Designer or purchase the full AWE Core package.
