Hello,
I am an acoustics engineer at Triton Sys, Inc. I am trying to use the Total Phase Aardvark to connect my computer to the Analog Devices ADSP-21489 EZ-KIT.
I have been following the instructions to get this system working. However, after connecting the Aardvark to the ADSP-21489 board with some jumper cables and firing up Visual DSP++, there is no recognition of the device. I have installed and reinstalled the TotalPhase Driver, but that does not seem to help.
Also, it seems that the license key provided for the Visual DSP++ software provided when I bought the kit is only temporary, so this is somewhat time-sensitive.
Does the team have any familiarity with this use case, and if so, could it provide some support for me?
Thank you very much.

Hi Daniel,
Unfortunately the Engineer who did the integration for this capability (talking to the ADSP-21489 Ezkit BSP over SPI using Aarkvark) is not currently unavailable until next week. Can you can talk over RS232, which is one of DSP Concept's standard tuning interface?
Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
I have been trying to get it to talk via a RS232 to USB cable, but no such luck so far. I will note that I have needed to use a null model mini adaptor to get the male RS232 to fit into the female connector on the EZ-KIT without interference from the threaded nuts on the cables and board, so Pin 9 doesn't seem to be communicating.

Hi Daniel,
Thanks for the information. Let's take this offline, I'll email you shortly.
Thanks,
